Richard talked about sharing what he called miracle stories with each other, meaning things that happen that help overcome adversity or hardship. His community in Ft. SMith shares thier miracle stories in a  newpaper/journal.     He gave an example of people who have used traditional medicine and became healthy.  He told us eveyone has a story and that by listening keenly to those around you, that story will be revealed.  When things are made known to you, it may be that you are holding that for someone or there is message for you.  We are all given a voice, he said.  Furthermore, those who have health have hope and those who have hope have everything.

By visiting each other we can create hope in others.  He suggested that TV and devices are good things but when overused erode that visiting aspect cruicial for our ocmmunites good health.  Take time to read his books.  They are available for check out at the Kainai Public Library.  One of his books, a board book for babies.  is in braille and is free for the asking.      Richard has collaborated with award winning artists, including George Littlechild, a First Nations artist. on several award winning books.
